Oakland-based cartoonist Lloyd Dangle has been writing and drawing
Troubletown for alternative newsweeklies since 1988. His comics and illustrations have appeared elsewhere in over one hundred publications, including
The New York Times,
The San Francisco Chronicle and
Project Censored.
Axis of Trouble is the eighth
Troubletown collection. His other books include
Real Recipes for Comic Cooks (with Lynn Gordon) and the comic-book series
Dangle.
Described as a combination of "Spike Lee, Damon Wayans, Gary Larson and the lead singer Of The Red Hot Chili Peppers," Keith Knight has published three
'K' Chronicles collections, raps with the San Francisco band The Marginal Prophets and is currently developing an animated series for Nickelodeon. The
'K' Chronicles appears in numerous weekly papers and at
www.salon.com. Knight's newest strip,
