From Bill Kartalopoulos:
I have just posted a new issue of
Indy Magazine, the online quarterly published by Jeff Mason and edited by myself. This issue is a
City of Glass special, marking that book's upcoming republication by Picador USA. The issue includes a lengthy essay on the book by Martha Kuhlman, a long interview with Paul Karasik, a shorter (but snappy) interview with David Mazzucchelli, and art spiegelman's new intro to the book.
The issue also includes a long interview with Francoise Mouly on
Little Lit, a visual slideshow with photographs and artwork from Ben Katchor's recent musical, "The Slug Bearers of Kayrol Island, or the Friends of Dr. Rushower," and a
Kramers Ergot 5 preview, featuring eight interior pages and C.F.'s full-color cover.
Books reviewed in this issue are:
Balthazar Part 1,
L'Homme Sans Talent, and
War Time and Play Time.
We have also re-instituted the previous online version of Indy Magazine. A browse through the archives will reveal many reviews and interviews with such luminaries as Chris Ware and Dan Clowes. See the link under "Archives" on the right-hand side of the front page.
