Moonpop delivers an exhilarating and optimistic exhibition... just in time for spring! Moonpop confuses our assumptions of normalcy, reality and possibility, ultimately directing a very subtle but critical eye to the unpleasantries endemic to the adult world we inhabit today. However, as the viewer continues to look deeper into the amusing and nonsensical vignettes s/he is supplied with the antidote to these heavy questions. That is, to imagine and build a new reality, leaving the boundaries of convention behind.
I will have all new paintings, piles of acrylic and spray-paint and pencil layered onto wood and other found niblets of paper and etc., and... an installation made of my new wooden birdies "Peeps" to boot.
Flower Frankenstein is a self-taught artist who resides in sunny San Francisco. There she spends her time whipping up novels and paintings of BikiniKat, a gigantic pink cat who travels the world on her super trick motorcycle, Trixie.
