From superheroes to Marvel comics and
MAD Magazine, from underground "comix" to the graphic novel… works by Carl Barks, C.C. Beck, Al Capp, Howard Chaykin, Howard Cruse, Mort Drucker, Will Eisner, Will Elder, Al Feldstein, Frank Frazetta, Kelly Freas, Justin Green, Bill Griffin, Jack Kirby, Harvey Kurtzman, Don Martin, Sheldon Moldoff, Victor Moscoso, Prohias, Trina Robbins, Gilbert Shelton, Joe Shuster, Art Spiegelman. A cartoon mural by Tom Motley depicts the history of comic books.
Also included with the exhibit: a gallery of local cartoonists, a panel discussion, comics-related films and appearances by Will Eisner (January 15), John Severin (February 8) and others.
