Event Description
Artist Joe Coleman will be making a rare northern California appearance at Therapy, 545 Valencia St, San Francisco, Saturday October 25 from 1-3 p.m. This event is presented in conjunction with the SF publishing house Last Gasp.
He will be signing his latest book, "The Book of Joe". It is Coleman's only book currently in print. He paints with a single-hair brush and jeweler's magnifying lens, packing his paintings with excruciating detail and visionary, apocalyptic imagery.
Well known for his dark, hallucinatory style, Charles Manson has called Coleman a "caveman in a spaceship," He is known to juxtapose the sacred
and profane, the saint and sinner, with his text and imagery.
