A graphic novel that pays attention to the strange details that make up everyday life, the story is an autobiographical account that follows a group of friends through a summer filled with uncertainty and confusion. Parties, excessive drinking, and financial instability add to the commotion. Drawn in a beautiful minimal style with delicate 2-color interior, Never Ending Summer reflects upon the immediacy of the present and the potential of events to come.

She began making her own silkscreened comics a few years back, and has created 15 different minicomics titles to date. Magic Whistle

Magic Whistle #9 trade paperback
Sam Henderson comes out of seclusion with the new "annual" format for his long-running, always funny series. He's added a few sketchbook pages and some longer pieces such as the full-color 24-page "The Hamburger Joe Story". Don't worry, Sam hasn't gone artsy-fartsy or anything – it's still the same kind of hilarity which has earned him Harvey and Emmy nominations... plus the usual ass or two. If you've never read this title before, find out why it's beloved by intellectual lowlifes and lowlife intellectuals alike.

By Sam Henderson, For Mature Readers; deluxe trade paperback; Partial Color; 96 pages; 6” x 9”; $11.95; ISBN: 1-891867-68-7

A Sort of Homecoming

A Sort of Homecoming #3 of 3
From the Eisner nominated creators of My Uncle Jeff comes this serialized graphic novel about friendship, brotherhood, and a bond that even death can’t break. Owen's journey concludes as he arrives home for David's funeral, facing everyone he has shut out and the bitter memories of his own father's death.

By Damon Hurd and Pedro Camello, For Mature Readers, $3.50, 32pg, B&W ISBN: 1-891867-61-X

Damon Hurd is twenty-four years old, happily married to someone far smarter than him, and lives too far north of New York City. Besides writing and reading comix, he frequents jazz clubs, smokes fine cigars, and brews amazingly good beer. One can usually find him at pubs in a little town called New Paltz where he sucks at pool, but excels at drinking.
