[event:comix] MOCCA EXPANDS TO TWO DAYS IN 2004
SEPTEMBER 5th, 2003, New York City, NY: The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art is proud to announce that it is accepting Exhibitor Applications for the Third Annual MoCCA Art Festival.
Due to the astounding success of last year's festival, and responding to exhibitor and attendee demands, the MoCCA Art Festival 2004 is expanding to two full days, June 26th and 27th. It will once again be held at the fabulous Puck Building in New York City and will feature an expanded schedule of workshops and special guests.
In two short years, the MoCCA Art Festival has become a don’t-miss event. Last year over 2,500 people streamed into the historic Puck Building in the course of a single day. Giving ardent fans the chance to talk with their favorite creators, while also challenging the non-initiated to experience comic and cartoon art at its most diverse.
“The MoCCA Art Festival has developed an exciting, unique, small-press friendly character that draws in many attendees who are not traditional comic or cartoon enthusiasts,” said Bridget Burke, MoCCA Art Festival Director. “It is an excellent opportunity for artists and publishers to connect with a broad and earnest audience while also attracting entirely new audiences.”
All proceeds of the MoCCA Art Festival benefit the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art. Exhibitors who register for the event before January 19, 2004 will receive a discount on their table fee. Interested exhibitors should visit the official event
web site for more information.
