American Splendor is a true American original based on Pekar's autobiographical comics. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, as well as the Fipresci Award at this year's Cannes Film Festival, American Splendor will close this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival.
