[comix] SPX ANNOUNCES 2003 IGNATZ AWARDS NOMINEES

Bethesda, MD, August 8, 2003: One of the most anticipated events of this year’s expanded 3-day Small Press Expo (SPX) is the Ignatz Awards, a festival prize to recognize outstanding achievement in comics and cartooning. The ballot is created by a panel of five cartoonists and then voted on by the attendees of the show. This offers a unique reflection of the views held by both professionals and their fans. The recipients of the awards will be announced at the Ignatz Awards Ceremony on Sunday, September 7th, 2003.
