[comix] RADIO SHOW SPOTLIGHTS SPIEGELMAN, ABEL AND MOCCA THIS FRIDAY
This week's "Spinning on Air," which broadcasts on Friday nights from 9 - 11 pm on WNYC-FM, will feature a roundtable conversation on comics and the upcoming MoCCA Art Festival, led by the show's host, David Garland. The roundtable features Art Spiegelman, Jessica Abel, Lawrence Klein and Kent Worcester. Art Spiegelman and Jessica Abel are well known to fans of literary comics. Lawrence Klein is the executive director of MoCCA, the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art. Kent Worcester is the program chair for this year's MoCCA Art Festival.
The Festival, of course, is being held this coming Sunday, June 22nd, at the Puck Building in lower Manhattan (Lafayette and Houston).
The roundtable will be broadcast on FM 93.9 in NYC and on
www.wnyc.org, where it will also be archived.
